"These much loved and used kitchen essentials were presents given at a ‘Kitchen Tea’ prior to my
marriage. The rolling pin, flour sifter and eggbeater have been used regularly my entire married life and I still use them today when baking. The Kitchen Tea was a party attended by family and friends. Entertainment included a singalong around the piano and refreshments included sandwiches, cakes and a keg of beer for the men. Sadly the piano player dropped dead mid song but I don’t recall that being the end of the party."
